SWIMMING RULES FOR KIDS

Swimming rules for kids are designed to help keep kids safe and organized while in the pool. While there are basic swimming rules that must be adhered to anytime your children are in a pool, there are also several rules that are unique to pools with slides and diving boards. Swimming rules often address poolside manner as well as overall swimming etiquette.

SWIMMING Gate RULE

This gate rule is designed to prevent kids from swimming unattended in a pool. According to Kids Health, fences must be at least 4 feet high and surround the entire pool. The slats on the pool fence must be less than 4 inches apart, preventing any young children from getting through. As a rule, you should always make your kids fully close and lock the gate to the pool after leaving the swimming area. Failure to do so may result in a younger child getting into the pool area unattended. The more secure your parameters are the less likely an accident will occur.
